data-end=\"6442\">If the answer is nowhere, we redesign their calendar.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"6444\" data-end=\"6463\">Not by adding time.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"6465\" data-end=\"6491\">But by reallocating power.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"6493\" data-end=\"6505\">Here is how.<\/h3>\n<h3 data-start=\"6512\" data-end=\"6543\"><strong>Step 1: Audit Meeting Value<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"6545\" data-end=\"6584\">Review your last two weeks of meetings.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"6586\" data-end=\"6607\">For each meeting ask:<\/h3>\n<h3>* Did this require my authority?<\/h3>\n<h3>* Could this decision have been delegated?<\/h3>\n<h3>* Was there a clear outcome?<\/h3>\n<h3>* Did this move the organization forward?<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"6757\" data-end=\"6821\">You will likely identify at least 2\u20133 hours of reclaimable time.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"6823\" data-end=\"6889\">Most leaders attend meetings out of habit or perceived obligation.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"6891\" data-end=\"6924\">But attendance is not leadership.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"6926\" data-end=\"6938\">Judgment is.<\/h3>\n<h3 data-start=\"6945\" data-end=\"6983\">\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3 data-start=\"6945\" data-end=\"6983\"><strong>Step 2: Redesign Meeting Standards<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"6985\" data-end=\"6995\">Insist on:<\/h3>\n<h3>* Clear agendas<\/h3>\n<h3>* Defined decision points<\/h3>\n<h3>* Pre-read summaries instead of presentation walkthroughs<\/h3>\n<h3>*
