\nAnd if we\u2019re honest\u2026 it\u2019s also overwhelming.<\/h3>\n

Many leaders tell me, \u201cI thought I was ready \u2014 and then I realised how much I\u00a0didn\u2019t<\/em>\u00a0know.\u201d<\/h3>\n

If I were promoted to a leadership role today, knowing everything I\u2019ve learned from coaching leaders across the world, here\u2019s exactly what I wish someone had whispered in my ear on day one.<\/h3>\n

1. You Don\u2019t Need All the Answers \u2014 Just the Right Questions<\/h2>\n

When I started leading teams years ago, I believed that leaders needed to\u00a0know<\/em>.
\nKnow the strategy.
\nKnow the direction.
\nKnow the solution.<\/h3>\n

But here\u2019s the truth I wish I\u2019d learned earlier:<\/h3>\n

\nLeadership is not an answer-giving profession \u2014 it\u2019s a question-asking one.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The best leaders aren\u2019t the ones who speak first. They\u2019re the ones who create space, ask meaningful questions, and help others think\u00a0better<\/em>.<\/h3>\n

If I were starting today, I\u2019d remind myself:
\n\u201cWhat do you think?\u201d is a far more powerful leadership tool than \u201cHere\u2019s what we\u2019re going to do.\u201d<\/h3>\n

2. Leadership Is Not About Control \u2014 It\u2019s About Clarity & Connection<\/h2>\n

Many new leaders assume their job is to take charge, make decisions quickly, and keep everything under control.<\/h3>\n

But controlling everything limits people, creativity, and trust.
\nClarity, on the other hand, liberates.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Teams don\u2019t need a boss who micromanages the \u2018how\u2019.
\nThey need a leader who:<\/h3>\n
